We appreciated the hospatility of Teresa and her husband, they were very helpfull when we had questions.
It was a pity that there was no other closet than in the common bathroom, so sometimes we were dependant of other guests who stayed there very long.
Furthermore it was okay for a city trip.
Really comfortable cottage, Teresa and her husband were very hospitable. Cottage near the bus stop and from there in twenty minutes time you're in temple bar. Recommended!
I never thought, Wimdu hosts could possibly be so nice, entertaining and fascinating like Teresa and her husband Hugh.
We did not only enjoy a fabolous stay in Dublin with a really comfortable bed(perfect for couples!) and a very pleasant accommodation in general, but also some formative and sincere conversations as well as an interesting cultural expirience with the other guests from different countries.
We highly recommend a stay at Teresas "cosy cottage", especially if you are looking for some delightful human interaction with intelligent people.
Greetings from Germany!
Teresa and Hugh were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Even when we arrived late in the evening after we took the wrong bus! Apparently the bus drivers get confused when you ask for Beaumont avenue, so perhaps for future guests it would be better if they also specify that it's in Dundrum, southbound. Anyway, Teresa and Hugh were also very helpful in providing a simple map of the area and recommending good things to see, especially the flight fest which we really enjoyed! The cottage is very nice and cosy with a great view of the garden from the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe we'll cross paths again! Prit and Franzi
This has been our first Wimdu experience and we´ve been very pleasantly surprised. Teresa and her husband are excellent hosts, we enjoyed little talks with them and had an excellent time. Be prepared not to be in a hurry if there´s a queue in front of the (nice and clean) bathroom.
Our room was very nice, there ´s been even a heatable kind of matress (which we did not use) but which might be of use in colder months. Our room was a little bit clammy (probably not that much damp-proofing in an older house) but Teresa allowed us to put our towels on the washing line in the garden, she even took them in when we went away and it started to rain, how´s that for service ? :)
All in all a very enjoyable stay, highly recommended !
We appreciated the time with Teresa and her family.
The room was nice, the bathroom was modern and clean and the breakfast was ok.
We were offered to use the family washing machine because we stayed unusually long. The distance to public transport( bus and LUAS) is very good.
As we travelled by our own car, it was very comfortable that we could park the car on the premises.
We can recommend the host family.
We stayed with Teresa for 3 nights while in Dublin. Teresa was very nice and helpful if we had any questions. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Teresa's house is approximately a 10 minute walk to the LUAS station and from there it takes about 10-15 minutes to get into the heart of Dublin.
Teresa and her husband are heartily, loving and helpful persons. The house is fitted out prettily. I have felt very well. The connection to the town was attainable well with the bus 14 or with Luas. By Luas you walk 10 minutes.Thank you very much.
Teresa was an amazing host! She had pamphlets and brochures about everything in Dublin. She also provided us with a hand packet that explained the Luas tram (how to get there) and the bus routes, which was really helpful.
Teresa's husband, Louie and daughter Emma, we also very nice. Emma even helped us call a taxi to pick us up for the airport in the AM.
I can't recommend this lodging any higher. For the price, it is definitely worth it.
We felt very lucky to be able to book with Teresa for our holyday in Dublin. We felt like we were home the whole time, Teresa and her husband were warm and kind, the room was great and we got to travel as locals. We truly recommend this host.
